Setting up your own custom domain on Owlstown has 3 steps.
- Buy your custom domain.
- Create CNAME record that points to hosting.owlstown.com
- Enter your custom domain on Owlstown.
1. Buy your custom domain.

If you already have your own custom domain, you can skip this part and head to step 2.
I recommend buying a domain name from one of these domain registrars:Β Namecheap or Google Domains.
- Their prices are among the cheapest.
- They are easy to use.
- They donβt try to upsell you as much as other domain name registrars.

2. Create CNAME record that points to hosting.owlstown.com
Visit the website of your domain registrar.
You will create a CNAME record that points to hosting.owlstown.com.

Don't enter your Owlstown domain for the value of the CNAME record. This is a common mistake.
You must enter hosting.owlstown.com for the value of the CNAME record.
You must enter hosting.owlstown.com for the value of the CNAME record.
For example, if your domain name is www.example.com, your CNAME record will look like this.
Subdomain: www
Type: CNAME
Value: hosting.owlstown.com
Different domain registrars will have different instructions on how to create a CNAME.

3. Enter your custom domain on Owlstown.
Go to the Domain name section from the Owlstown Editor. Select the Custom tab.
Click the Edit custom domain button and enter your custom domain.
Click the Update button.
